To me, my artwork is a love letter to the colorful, larger than life characters that has always captured my eye that I’ve grew up with and drew inspiration from. My goal is create characters that have brought me the same escapism into new and exciting universes in comic stories that influenced me so long ago. I look towards the world of comics and its’ outlandish characters and colorful costumes as a theme in my pieces.
The majority of my body of work is composed of figurative work both created digitally and traditionally. Although each project provides a new outlet for me to experiment and explore new styles, I always aim to have a more representational illustrative style. I look towards the likes of great golden age era illustrators and painters as gold standards to strive for in my body of work. They represent my goal as an illustrator that marries both my love for sequential art and fine art into one.
